Our response to Covid-19
Our strict hygiene practices are something we have always taken great pride in at Heavenly Green, but due to the ongoing presence of Covid-19 we have taken a very detailed look at our working practices and have implemented some new strategies and procedures to ensure client and therapist safety.
This has meant a few minor changes to the way in which your appointments will work.
A full in depth risk assessment has been carried out in the premises and our safe working practices document is available to read in salon or via email if requested.
If you have any other questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to put your mind at ease.
Appointments will no longer run back to back, there will be a cleaning break scheduled between each client.
We have purchased a UVC sterilizing light unit which will be used in the treatment rooms after each client. This is the same device used in hospital settings and is proven to kill Human Coronaviruses and other bacteria and viruses.
All surfaces and products will be wiped down with disinfectant spray in between treatments and all tools will be either sterilized or disposed of.
Towels will be changed between each client and washed at 60 degrees.
Nail varnish and GEL polish contain over 70% alcohol and do not contain water meaning no bacteria or viruses are able to survive in nail varnish bottles.
The Paraffin wax treatment used in our standard manicures does not allow for the survival of viruses and bacteria either, and any pathogens present on the skin are encapsulated in the paraffin used on each client. This is then disposed of immediately after use, making the treatment hygienically safe.
Your therapist will wear suitable PPE including a surgical mask, disposable gloves and a full face visor.
We would encourage you to wear a mask during your treatment, however it will not be not mandatory.
All clients will be required to hang their coats and other outdoor items in the cupboard located in the foyer before entering the salon.
You will then be required to sanitise your hands using the automatic hand sanitizer unit located behind the door before entering the main salon.
This is to reduce the risk of Covid-19 entering the areas where treatments will take place.
Please, if at all possible, we kindly ask that you do not arrive early for your appointment as we will no longer be able to offer a waiting area to clients.
If arriving early is unavoidable we ask that you wait in the outside foyer until your appointment time.
If you feel at all unwell, we ask that you reschedule your appointment via phone or email, please do not come into the salon for your appointment.
We understand symptoms can come on suddenly, therefore we are relaxing our cancellation policy to allow for short notice cancellations.
Please come to your appointment alone - do not bring children/ other family members if at all possible.
We have removed all hand towels and replaced them with paper towels at all hand washing stations and in the bathroom.
Disinfectant spray will be on the reception desk for the card machine and for all communal door handles etc.
We will no longer be serving tea/coffee/water. You are welcome to bring a bottle of water or your own hot drink with you.
Magazines will no longer be in the reception area.
Products will be available to purchase after your appointment, or on a pre-ordered click and collect basis.
Payments for click and collect products will be made in advance via bank transfer and products will be available for collection at an arranged time.
Walk in clients will no longer be accepted.
All gift vouchers that were due to expire during the time we were closed will be extended for a further 3 months from 12th April. After this date, they will no longer be valid.
The best way to make appointments will now be to email info@heavenlygreen.co.uk.
If you would prefer to call and no one answers, please do leave a message and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
As mentioned previously, online booking has been suspended for the time being to allow us to manually space everyone's appointments out safely allowing for social distancing and cleaning between clients.
